About us //

The Black Women's Experiences Living With Lupus (Be WELL) Study is a research study being conducted by researchers at Emory University, School of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, and Auburn University, College of Human Sciences.

Together, we have over a decade of experience in conducting research to help improve the lives of people living with lupus. Our team consists of clinicians and scientists with expertise in areas of epidemiology, public health, environmental health, nursing, behavioral and community health, psychology, anthropology, and immunology. Our research staff has been exceptionally trained in all aspects of the study and can answer questions you might have about the Be WELL Study. Our community advisory members are women living with lupus and are actively involved in this research.

We are extremely committed to our mission to identify factors that can improve the health and well-being of all people living with lupus.
